Who We Are

Welcome to the Green University Computer Club (GUCC), a dynamic and student-driven non-profit and non-political organization operating in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the esteemed Green University of Bangladesh. As the flagship club of the university, GUCC boasts a thriving community of over 7000+ members.

Our primary objective is to empower and guide students within the Department of CSE on their journey to carve out successful careers in the ever-evolving realms of modern computer science and engineering. Under the vigilant supervision of the department, GUCC serves as a catalyst for excellence, fostering development and leadership among its members.

What is the Green University Computer Club (GUCC)?

GUCC is the flagship student-run, non-profit and non-political technology club of Green University of Bangladesh, operating in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). It has more than 7,000 members and exists to help CSE students build careers in modern computer science and engineering.

Who are the current GUCC executives (2026)?

The 2026 GUCC executive committee is led by Tanveer Ahmed Ziad (President) and Bakul Ahmed (General Secretary), supported by faculty moderators from the Department of CSE and a full panel of student executives. GUCC opens executive recruitment periodically for students of Green University of Bangladesh. Recruitment rounds, rules and application forms are published on the Join page of this website and announced on the club's official Facebook page, so check both when a cycle opens.

What events does GUCC organise?

GUCC runs seminars, workshops, programming contests, hackathons such as HackTheAI, cultural programmes and inter-university collaborations throughout the academic year — around 50 events annually. Past and upcoming events are all listed on the Events page.

The Green University Computer Club was founded in 2013 and celebrates GUCC Day on 19 October each year.
